| Holy Family Ministries Capital Campaign Holy Family Ministries is greatly pleased to announce the Building Hope campaign to raise $6.5 million with which to improve educational and cultural opportunities for children living in Chicago’s low-income, west side neighborhoods. Total project cost is $8.8 million. At 12/31/06, over $5 million had been raised. The goals of Holy Family Ministries’ Building Hope campaign are:
Designed by award-winning FGM Architects of Oak Brook, the new facility will consist of 45,000 square feet on three floors. It will consist of 18 rooms. There will also be an administrative center with a meeting room, workroom, and a health office; a library and a technology lab; an art room and a music room; a conference room; extensive office space; several small tutoring/counseling rooms; and a half-gym/multi-purpose area that can also serve as the cafeteria and 350-seat auditorium. The "25% green roof" will feature a demonstration garden. Outside will be a playground area. General contractor is W.B. Olson, Inc. of Northbrook. Targeted opening date is early 2008.
